Positioning and value proposition
Explain where GRCTrail fits and how its combination of software and expert support serves the buyer’s needs.
GRC software · Product and technology
ACW delivered GRCTrail through an approximately six-month engagement spanning product strategy, platform development, integrations, security audits and penetration testing, AI guidance, analytics and go-to-market work. The scope also included technical SEO and optimisation for AI-assisted search.
GRCTrail brings controls, policies, evidence, risk and vendor information into a shared workspace. Its offer combines software with implementation support for areas including GDPR, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 readiness. The product keeps compliance preparation connected with the records and responsibilities a team maintains afterwards.

ACW defined the ideal customer profile, analysed competitors and clarified GRCTrail’s positioning. That work fed into the product roadmap and go-to-market approach, connecting what the platform should offer with the buyers it needs to reach.
GRCTrail is designed for organisations that handle customer data or need to answer enterprise security requirements. SaaS companies, IT service providers and agencies need a practical way to keep policies, evidence and responsibilities organised while preparing for customer reviews and compliance assessments.
ACW’s platform-development work supported a GRC product that connects requirements, records, evidence and operational workflows. The engineering engagement brought product development together with integrations, security work and AI assistance. Requirement → Control and owner → Supporting evidence → Review and next action.
Keep the record, its supporting information and the work still to do connected within the product.
Bring platform development, integration work and AI guidance into the same product engagement.
ACW implemented the integrations presented on GRCTrail’s product site. They connect the workspace with the cloud, identity, engineering and collaboration tools that teams already use.
AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Cloudflare.
Google Workspace, Okta, Slack and Notion.
GitHub, Vercel, Jira, Linear and ClickUp.
Datadog, Snyk and Supabase.
ACW integrated and tested an AI chatbot and guide, and populated its knowledge base. The work made assistance part of the product experience, giving users a way to ask questions and find guidance within the compliance workspace.
ACW carried out cybersecurity audits and penetration testing alongside the development of GRCTrail. The engagement included security work aligned with ISO 27001 and GDPR requirements, addressing security as a delivery workstream as well as the subject of the product.
ACW implemented marketing and product analytics, including Google Analytics and heatmap analysis. The measurement work connects traffic and interactions with meaningful steps in the buyer journey, providing a basis for investigating friction and improving the experience.
Track calls to action, booking clicks and lead activity across the public site.
Observe assessment starts and completions, as well as form starts and errors.
Use heatmaps alongside event data to understand how people interact with the experience.
